Under the supervision of Dr Katy Day, University of Leeds Beckett, I will soon be undertaking a piece of research into the psychological impact on women when their birth plan does not go “to plan”. Improving access to and the provision of mental health care for new mums is a topic I am passionate about and the intent behind this project is to contribute to the growing body of research into improving perinatal psychological support.

If you have given birth in the last five years and would be comfortable sharing your experiences with me for the purposes of this study, I would love to hear from you. Interviews can be conducted in-person or online and full confidentially is of course assured.
